Head - Sourcing - Electronics (18-25 yrs)
Job Summary :
- Sourcing Head leads and manages the Commodity Sourcing organization. He is responsible for optimization of total cost of acquisition thereby supporting the Operation's business development effort with current and potential customers, and the development / execution of appropriate commodity strategies.
- The Commodity Manager is responsible for administrating the materials through out the organization including purchasing, within the organization. Develops and implement Supply Chain strategies and systems. Ensures cost control and that materials supply equal demand. Controls materials from supplier to the Operation and to the customer.
Requirements :
- A bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Materials Management or an equivalent preferred), Masters of Business Administration, a certification by related professional organizations like APICS & NAPM
- Min 18years of Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Industry related to Purchasing, Planning, and Materials Management. An experience in managing department(s) responsible for some or all aspects of materials control functions.
- Experience in ERP preferably SAP
- Extremely strong skills with proven track record in communication, leadership, business analysis, process development, component engineering skills are required.
- Willing to travel both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the Operation's business development efforts with current and potential customers
- Determine and execute appropriate commodity strategies
- Manage a Materials Quotation team to administrate material quoting activities that yields complete, accurate, timely, - world-class- quotes. Ensure a robust material quoting process to include all necessary information to plan and manage material requirements
- Set up MSA (Manufacturing Service Agreement development) in terms of supply chain performance responsibilities with suppliers and sub contractors
- Ensure an extremely disciplined approach to customer demand planning, Master Production Schedule (MPS) process, materials planning, and production planning.
- Support the development and implementation of Supply Chain strategies and systems.
- Support customers- business needs using standard processes. Offer supply chain solutions to customers in order to influence customers
- Ensure that Materials team supports the Operation to manage customer's demand. Ensure that materials supply equal demand. Optimize overall cost of materials. Control materials from supplier to the Operation and to the customer.
- Evaluate market conditions and supplier capabilities -- publish periodic Commodity Market Conditions Report
- Participate in customer meetings and audits. Lead or support Business Development on Materials and Supply Chain efforts and new initiatives. Effectively present Supply Chain and Materials processes, initiatives, and strengths to current and potential customers.
- Entering into Supplier partnerships and programs like VMI etc
- If required, develop and source alternate suppliers or components to reduce total acquisition cost and supply risk
- Facilitate supplier business reviews & Manage supplier performance evaluations
- Ensure data integrity in terms of price, lead - time, MoQ, Part no: etc in ERP System
- Optimize Material Price Variance
- Monitor, track, and provide feedback on suppliers- overall cost, delivery, and quality performance.
- Drive Continuous cost reduction through Value Analysis / Value Engineering
