Head - Sourcing - Fruits & Vegetables (10-15 yrs)
The Client :
A new age, tech enabled value chain company with the vision of organizing India's farm-to-fork supply chain, to deliver cleaner, fresher and better produce to consumers.
The Role :
Part of the Senior Management team responsible for the sourcing and procurement function for fruits and vegetables (F&V) contributing to the P&L.
Indicative Deliverables :
- Contribute to sourcing strategy
- Identification of sourcing pipeline for each category
- Identification of suppliers from across the key souring locations
- Establishing standards with regards to quality, delivery and pricing
- Conduct bids / RFQ etc on need basis.
- Supplier selection
- Supplier negotiation and onboarding
- Ongoing quality assurance and timely service delivery for each supplier.
- People and process mgmt responsibility for the sourcing and procurement team.
Person for the Role :
- Experience senior management person with about 10 to 15 years of experience in sourcing all types of fruits and vegetables categories
- A PG in relevant space with prior experience being a sourcing / category head in buying space
- Someone with exposure managing pan-India sourcing operations for fruits and vegetables
