They would like to have a Business Analytics approach to SCM decisions
The candidate should understand, visualize, sensitize and galvanize team to be conscious about financial implications of SCM decisions
Able to analyze implications of a 1% or 2% drop in OTIF have team to pro-actively avoid additional cost towards air shipments etc. In short, be data-driven, savvy about financial implications and take right SCM decisions
Professional should think beyond traditional KPIs like OTIF
He should work much after order acceptance and closely coordinate with validation teams, drive and seek regulatory clearances and ensure that deliveries happen within 90 days from date of acceptance thus drive crucial SCM decisions so that delays and penalties are totally avoided
With most of the expansion already completed, CapEx is expected to be - average-
One key KRA would be to improve OTIF (on time in full); understand current levels are at 55%-to-60%
Managing 4000-to-4500 SKUs in 10-to-15 therapeutic segments - delivered as injectable or OSD (oral solid dose) to various customers around the Globe; (all sales is exports); multiple regulatory standards
OTIF for generics hinges on forecasting - which is only 50% predictable; second key KRA would be to improve forecasting efficiency
IT savviness
Formulation sale is Rs 11K Crores, procurement budget expected to manage ~ Rs 6K Crores
Professional is expected to make decisions on - in-sourcing- vs - out-sourcing- or on - make vs buy-
Emanating from this requirement are expectation from candidate like decisiveness, analytical, - strategic orientation-
Typically, 25%-to-35% of his role would be operational; expected to - so hands-on- that he may have to push a dispatch, an invoicing or other documentation to improve on OTIF; be so detailed oriented on design and performance of packaging cartons or quality or look or presentation of labels etc
He would lead a team of 80 personnel including ones deployed in the plant
