Job title: Head Tribology

Location: Mysore

Exp Range: 8yrs to 12yrs

Experience required-:

Experience in a business environment with good academic record

Experience in the tribological laboratory modeling of the real world application

Prior leadership role and managing team

Experience in experimentation and analysis in tribology, lubrication, materials and surface engineering

Good knowledge on Tribological testing, test rigs, testing international standards

Qualifications/Requirements:

PhD in tribology and related fields / Bachelor engineering degree in Mechanical with 10 years of relevant experience

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write reports, present results, and represent the company at internal/external meetings

Specific Competencies:

Deep knowledge of friction and related technologies

R&D, Project management and Technical development in tribology

Willingness to travel within the country and overseas

Job Status: Permanent

Objective:

To build a state-of-art Regional Tribology Laboratory at Company's Lubrication, Mysore and extend tribology support to the Asia Pacific regional sales, marketing, R&D, Quality functions to cater to the growing requirements of value added lubricant products.

Job profile:

Expand the tribology testing facility in Mysore and to lead the Tribology team. -

Use Tribology as a value added service for company products in.

Undertake tribology projects for the Asia pacific region and work closely with global network & KLM tribology lab to increase tribological research and application -

Align with CompanyTribology vision and strategy and create one for regional Tribology structure at Company. -

Work closely with R&D to develop new products -

Translation of application requirements in to test conditions and stimulate the same in the lab - Carry out collaborative projects with the universities to expand KLIND/ KLAP testing facility, to improve test methodologies -

Contribute ideas for innovation projects such as new lubricant concepts in current application and with OEM's to the R&D and contribute technically tWork on-site with customers to solve maintenance and production issues, helping to improve lubrication practices.o new projects. -

Support QA, Production and R&D department's project with tribological testing results for product benchmarking and services to customers.

Work on-site with customers to solve maintenance and production issues, helping to improve lubrication practices.
