Powertrain System HIL Validation - Job Description
The Powertrain (Engine, Trans, and Driveline) Systems Validation team is responsible for the validation of production Powertrain Control Modules using a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation environment.
The Powertrain Systems Validation Team is responsible for,
1. Developing master DVP
2. Creating and managing Test Cases(DVPs) which includes maintaining traceability of test artifacts to requirements
3. Developing and managing HIL- test scripts in multiple automation platforms
a. FCA HIL Automation Test Tool(VB)
b. Virtual Simulation Tool (Python)
c. Automation Desk (Python)
4. Validation of Powertrain S/W functions and documenting issues in FCA Issue Management System and provide Validation Project Chief with all findings
5. Verification and Validation of Powertrain systems to meet federally regulated guidelines for software performance (OBD), safety requirements, manufacturability, and vehicle functionality.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Mechanical is required from an accredited university
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in powertrain systems, vehicle applications, and/or Verification/Validation of powertrain controls systems
- Good understanding of powertrain systems and vehicle applications
- Experience with Test Automation and Diagnostic tools (e.g. dSPACE, Provetech, INCA, CANalyzer, etc.)
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Must be self-motivated and motivate the team to success
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters in Electrical, Mechanical, or System Engineering from an accredited university
- Experience with embedded control, VB/Python Programming, MATLAB and Simulink
