Job Description : HOD - Design Mechanical

Key Responsibilities :


- Experience of leading an engineering team, one level below the head of the function.

- Exposure to engineering processes.

- Experience of handling basic engineering including process and hydraulics.

- Knowledge on equipment selection for Pumps, Blowers, Mixers, Process equipment, SBR, digestors, gas holders, decanters, dosing system, Hydrolysis process, UV, Chlorination system, Heat Exchangers, etc.

- Review of technical documents like Mechanical GA drawing, vendor data sheets and technical specifications as per tender requirement.

- Basic understanding of Civil and E&I design.

- Leading meetings with Client and other stakeholders to get approval of the design, drawings and all other technical documents required to complete the project smoothly

- Ensuring resources are used efficiently and profitably.

Qualifications :

- BE/B. Tech. or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience of 18 - 22 years

- Prior experience of working as an Engineering Manager is preferred.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Demonstrable project management, stakeholder management and organizational skills.

- Strong interpersonal and talent management skills

- Experience on using piping software like Cadmatic, Auto CAD, Revit, Navisworks.

- Proficient in using various Indian design codes and standards.

- Experience of working in EPC/consultancy organization.

- Design experience in water/wastewater treatment sector will be preferred
