Job Description :

- To support mining related contracts with on-site services including hydraulic hose management and ensure hydraulic hose assemblies on all machines are in good working condition. Supporting the main objective, responsibilities will include the maintenance of hose assembly facilities in containers and/or mobile trucks (fully equipped), as well as other customer designated areas, maintenance of appropriate stock levels of replacement product in designated bins/cabinets and the manufacture, test and tag of hose assemblies when required.

- Timely manufacture of hydraulic hoses to fulfill customer requirements; meeting or exceeding customers deadlines.

- Ensure hose assemblies are manufactured accurately according to the required specifications; product, length, orientation and crimp dimensions as well as testing and tagging.

- Safely remove and fit hydraulic hoses to mobile and fixed plant; ensuring all hoses are secured and routed correctly, dependent on specific client requirements.

- Conduct regular hose audits, identifying hose assemblies that will require replacement (e.g. damaged, rubbing, incorrect routing, leaking at crimp, etc.) during future planned maintenance periods.

- Ensure suitable protection is fitted to all hose assemblies located within the engine bay.

- Keep records of all hose assemblies made and record all Bill Of Materials (BOMs) for manufactured hose assemblies.

- Responsible for hose container and/or mobile trucks and/or designated hose assembly area (keep it clean and neat, and adhere to contamination control standards).

- Ensure company tools, equipment and service vehicles are clean and well maintained.

- Provide clients with company's product and general hydraulic awareness information.

- Identify critical hose assemblies that need to be kept in stock in an effort to reduce machine down time.

- Manage the customers inventory / stock levels in containers and/or warehouses in accordance with contract and customer requirements. Identify ongoing requirements in consultation with the customer, setting up min-max levels, and maintain product levels.

- Comply with all policies and procedures in place with our client and company.

- Ensure site safety guidelines and requirements are followed at all times. Take a safety first approach.

- Ensure the required paperwork is promptly and accurately completed in line with company requirements.

- Complete company's time sheets recording hours worked obtaining the correct approvals and submit by the due dates.

- Ethics training to be completed annually.

- Ensure all mine site inductions and drivers licenses are kept up to date and current at all times.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

- Mechanical Trade Certificate preferred. Hydraulics related discipline.

- Relevant hose and fitting competencies.

- Heavy Rigid Drivers License.

Experience :

- Proven experience with the manufacture, fitting and removing of hydraulic hoses.

- Stores and stock allocation.

- Mining equipment maintenance exposure would be preferred.

Preferred Skills:

- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Intermediate knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications.

- Highly developed time management skills, along with the ability to multi task.

- High level of attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.

- Ability to develop detailed knowledge of product range.
