Job Description :
- Hydro engineer is directly responsible for Hydro Control's Design of DCS/PLC retrofit projects
- Engage in Implementation and Testing phases of Hydro Controls Design projects
- Engage in Hydro Power Start-Up, Commissioning and Tuning
Primary Duties and Accountabilities :
- Site walk down for site surveys & data collections
- Design, implementation of Hydro controls and protection systems
- Process simulation & testing
- Pre-FAT, FAT & clean-up after FAT
- Verification and functional testing of I/O interfaces to field devices
- I/O database partitioning for redundancy and fail safe configurations
- Hydro control's commissioning, start-up &tuning
- Performance guarantee & reliability test
- Supervision of Hydro control system retrofits and installations
- Identifying and communicating areas of potential process and design improvements to project manager
- Compliance with internal and customer safety and security requirements
- Working with contractors / sub-contractors
- Fostering smooth collaboration and communication with project stake holders (internal project teams, customer project teams and onsite contractors)
