IFCCI - Technical Manager - BIM (7-10 yrs)
Company Profile: A leading European BIM services provider with offices in Lille, Brussels, Luxembourg as well as Trivandrum (India).
S/he will lead the expertise improvement and industrialization of the company's fast-growing Indian production center specialized in Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Facility Management industries in Europe and the Middle East.
Responsibility :
1. PRODUCTION :
- Enable our modeling teams to produce reliable BIM models on time at a competitive cost in coordination with the BIM Manager, Team Leaders and Project Coordinators.
- Validate and ensure the ongoing communication of our production planning.
- Validate our projects- and contracts- production workload.
Drive the production continuous improvement process by performing root cause analysis of quality issues and drive related action plan.
2. METHODS
- Refine and enforce company's production standards: modeling charters, building data management method, libraries, project management method & customer management guideline.
- Define the production best practices in coordination with the BIM Manager, Team Leaders and Project Coordinator
- Manage and continuously update the company's knowledge database.
- Stay abreast of technological developments, assess and propose new modeling and productivity software/tools to improve productivity, quality and extend the range of services offered by the organization.
3. TRAINING
- Drive the improvement of our staff modeling expertise, construction standards knowledge and software utilization.
- Hands-on training of the existing and future production staff members to ensure they produce and control models according to our Standards.
- Enforce and keep improving the content of our technical trainings and related employee tests according to our Standards.
4. QUALITY
- Set up and drive the quality control team.
- Keep improving our quality controls to ensure our company produces BIM models compliant with our client's signed orders and contracts (not less, not more).
- Ensure company's Production Standards are well explained, understood and applied by our modeling teams through regular audits.
5. MANAGEMENT
- Drive the ongoing improvement of the production and project invoicing dashboards; track and communicate production success measures on a weekly basis to drive continuous improvement.
- When appropriate, support the expansion of company's India's staff and infrastructure to meet the Group's development plan.
- Drive the local team to provide proper support to our sales force and partners in Europe and the Middle East.

Education:
- University degree in Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Recap, Navisworks, Dynamo, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Solibri (previous training/coaching experience appreciated).
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and procedures in the AEC industry in Europe (e.g. France, Benelux) and in the Middle East.
- Strong knowledge of the BIM processes.
- Knowledge of virtual reality and augmented reality software such as Lumion, 3ds Max, Maya, Unity5 and similar is an asset.
Experience :
- Proven experience (min. 7 years) in a BIM and/or Engineering mid-sized company, including hands-on project, onsite and client management experiences.
- Successful experience in estimating BIM and/or engineering projects time to produce.
- Previous work experience in an emerging market, preferably India.
Language : Excellent oral and written communication skill in English and French.
