Industrial Engineering Technician (2-4 yrs)
Job Description :
- In the role of Industrial Engineering Technician you will be expected to support the Industrial Engineer with all tasks associated with managing engineered labor standards in the labor management system and fostering a continuous improvement environment by providing feedback from process validations and data analysis.
Essential Functions :
Labor Management :
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of engineered labor standards in labor management system
- Support the labor program in all tasks requested of the Industrial Engineer including associate observations, data entry, meeting facilitation, and reporting tasks
- Conduct time studies and validation on approved processes and layouts
- Assist the Industrial Engineer for location mapping, vehicle configuration, and labeling to support the labor management program
- Process Improvement and Documentation
- Under the direction of the Industrial Engineer, develop and document proper methods and procedures to be used in each operation
- Assist in developing and proposing layout and process changes as needed within the operation.
- Assist with data analysis to identify potential process improvement areas.
- Assist the Industrial Engineer in the update and creation of SOP, work instructions, and flow charts
- Under the direction of the Industrial Engineer, develop and document proper methods for proposed and new processes
- Support the facility with development and creation of visual management tools under the guidance of the Industrial Engineer
- Provide engineering support for our distribution centers for productivity initiatives, strategic initiatives, and special projects
Qualifications :
Education/skills : Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (Preferred), Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management or applicable technology field
Experience : 2-4 Years
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Strong proficiency AutoCAD (preferred)
- Problem solving, troubleshooting capabilities, and attention to detail
- Superior organizational abilities
- Process and procedure orientated
