Industrial Project Manager - HVAC (3-6 yrs)
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Prepare long term maintenance & repair budgets for Electrical, HVAC and DDC equipment
- Provide technical know-how and leadership to the development team during design, development, testing and validation of software
- Perform necessary trade-offs (cost, serviceability, manufacturability,) of several design options as needed and select a design
- Manage and resolve technical and programmatic development conflicts among stakeholders impacting the software development team
- Create through collaboration design documentation as required to document designs for review and future software support
- Work closely with quality assurance resources to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly assigned, fixed, and closed
- Developing Scopes of Work, Schedules and Site-Specific Safety Plans
- Creating bid documents and conducting bidding of subcontractors and vendors
- Qualifying bids, negotiating, selecting, and awarding subcontracts and equipment orders
- Inspecting project sites daily to assure compliance with safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements
- Responsible for the overall financial performance of their projects including project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections and re-estimating costs of installation projects
- Review design/build construction documents for constructability and cost
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and execute preventive maintenance, repair and inspection activities for multiple projects located in multiple states
- Make frequent site visits to inspect equipment and meet with direct reports, customers and subcontractors
- Managing the production schedule, and coordinating all material deliveries
- Implement and validate project and Subcontractor insurance, taxes/duties, licensures, and bonding are in place per the project requirements.
- Direct compliance with company policies in all project aspects
- Overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of product development projects
- Provide assistance and leadership for functional activities, including but not limited to product development, product engineering, cable test and measurement
- Study upstream the technical, timing and economic feasibility of Marketing briefs and Operations briefs (regulatory, supplier transfer, value analysis)
- Advise marketing by providing technical solutions and innovative opportunities and by anticipating industrial and economic problems
- Build price estimates and product development schedules.
Qualifications :
- 50% Travel to project sites
- Prepare inspection and monthly project status reports that are well written and accurate
- Provide quality assurance to the customer
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum
- A bachelor's degree in industrial design, Architecture, or Graphic Design is required.
- A great attitude that enjoys working in a close, highly energized, team-oriented environment
- Experience mentoring and managing junior design team members.
