POSITION SUMMARY
This position leads the Forecasting, Procurement (Local and Imports) & Inventory Management for Kimberly-Clark, India. It creates and implements a culture of effective internal controls, risk management and governance for the organization-wide procurement process.
This position engages with Country Leadership to drive Business and Functional Priorities. The position will develop, create and implement robust, sustainable business processes.
It also works with Cross Functional Team to deliver Cost Transformation and continuously strive to explore avenues of cost reduction across the chain. This would include a Regional and Global lift and shift opportunities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Procurement - Local, Imported and Inter Company of Goods and Goods Related Services
- Develop and implement strategy to forecast and meet demand for local and imported purchases
- Lead Procurement Process for all purchases to ensure optimal and least cost purchase at best market prices
- Continuously optimize Purchase Cost and endeavor to offset inflation through Cost Reduction Actions
- Communicate and liaise with potential vendor for negotiation and pricing in conjunction with Regional & Global Procurement
- Liaise with the clearing and forwarding agencies to ensure smooth customs clearance, punctual delivery, with minimum administrative cost and without incurring demurrage
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation for all import transactions
- Ensure compliance to policy, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Ensure contracts with all suppliers and legal compliances with all Vendors
- Facilitate Balance sign off's twice a year
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Professional with majors in Supply Chain Management with about 8-12 years of experience of handling Demand Planning and import material procurement with international suppliers in FMCG/Consumer Durables MNC organization. A good experience /exposure of media & marketing buying will be an added advantage.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must have experience of working in an SAP Environment and possess strong Excel skills.
- Should be able to collaboratively work across functions/geographies (Regional/Global teams)
- Should have a continuous improvement mindset.
- Good Communication is important.
- Should display responsible and ethical behavior toward customers, suppliers, and others in the organization
- Ability to deal with ambiguous challenges
