The position is part of the joint corporate network and supply chain engineering based in Gurgaon. The function is to work on network engineering and supply chain design projects for internal and external clients of Kuehne + Nagel.

Duties and Responsibilities

Deployment of supply chain design and network engineering in customer projects

- Provide supply chain design as project lead or subject matter expert

- Management of customer expectations in terms of time, quality and cost

- Enhancement of supply chain design in accordance with the present / future logistic trends / techniques

- Close cooperation with operational experts

- Document business requirements that reflect the resolution of the customer issues or that indicate a desired customer end state

Work in cross functional teams to prepare responses to customer requests determining approach, process, technology requirements and costs that reflect customer needs and are profitable for Kuehne + Nagel

- Provide expertise in integrated distribution and transportation network analysis covering: Optimum facility, Location compression planning, Facility functionality, Warehousing, Cross-docking, Reverse logistics, RFP responses, Distribution simulation, Value added services, etc.

- Develop well engineered solutions that either resolve the identified customer issues or that lead to the desired customer end state

- Develop, maintain and apply methodologies and standard approach for supply chain design

- Apply high level cost / schedule / risk analyses for the proposed solutions
