Requirements

Education: BE / B.Tech

Work experience

5+ years of experience

Experience in designing vehicle wiring, electromechanical components, peripherals, plastic enclosures, sheet metal enclosures and user safety features on electrical devices

Highly skilled in CAD design softwares like Solid Works, Catia, UG and System Architecture Design in tools like Siemens VeSys, Automation Studio, and Cap-H

Knowledge of different wire designs FLRY A/B, AVS, AVSS, TXL and selection according to electrical and mechanical application

Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, ANOVA, Design VA/VE, DFSS, and DMAIC

Primary Responsibilities

Select appropriate child parts, connectors, terminal, sensors, plating and manufacturing processes for all components

Create accurate 2D drawings in 3rd angle, tolerances, critical dimension, wire from-to chart and other CTQ parameters

Draft EBOM & MBOM, release the design in PLM (Team Center) for different design cycles and own the ECN documentation from initiation to implementation

Prepare in-house and outsourced DVP as per defined specs on functionality, environment, safety, protection and reliability

Follow procedures and create documentation of DFMEA, DFM, DFA, CAPA, RCA, component specs, interaction checks, Tol stack and GD&T

Implement agile form of project management through efficient team handling, sprint planning, team deliverables and appraisals

Follow wire and cable standards such as ISO-6722, USCAR-21, UL-62 and ensure procedures such as ARAI homologation, and EMI/EMC prevention
