Experience/Exposure/ Education :

The following competencies & criteria form an essential part for the incumbent :

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, Strong leadership acumen & behavior.

- Stakeholder management

- Strong understanding of the Industrial Lubricants and its developments.

- At least 15-20 years of successful experience in R&D of process lubricants in Steel industry is required with at least 5 years in Leadership role/position.

- MTech/ MSc in organic Chemistry or equivalent post graduate degree in Chemical Technology and a PhD or equivalent research degree.

- Develop and implement guidelines regarding formulations, equipment and test methods.

Issue and guard best practices.

- Manage the process of product development in the Technical Centre aimed at meeting the needs of the customers in the most cost efficient way, recommend, initiate and execute programs to maintain the current market share or even providing further growth of the assigned product groups through Technology upgradation, Application Research.

- Ensure the technological and scientific level of the Technical Centre associates by coaching, guiding, training and motivating the assigned employees. Take care of the safety, health and well-being of assigned employees.

- Ensure that service is provided to customers, Sales Managers, Product Managers, Process Engineers and Technical Service Specialists by rendering chemical-technical assistance, participation in field tests and evaluation of competitive products.

- Define, develop, implement and participate and collaborate in projects, initiated by R & D Team and/or in close co-operation with Quaker India, and its suppliers, customers or other external or internal parties in local, regional or Global committees.

- Encourage - Best Practices- and knowledge sharing sessions with team.

- Contribute and support the organization on all research and development matters, participate in the decision making process regarding strategic R&D and business issues.

- Deliver technical presentations to customers and industry symposia.

- Lead the transfer of technology from one geographical region to another.
