Role: Land Acquisition and Liaison Officer

Responsibilities:

- Act as the primary point of contact for land acquisition activities for solar projects.

- Liaise with government departments and local authorities to obtain necessary clearances, permissions, and approvals for land acquisition.

- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with farmers or landowners to facilitate land purchase negotiations.

- Obtain land records pertaining to private landowners and ensure their accuracy and relevance.

- Mobilize landowners for discussions and negotiations related to land purchase, ensuring transparency and fairness.

- Assist in conducting surveys and assessments of potential land sites for solar projects.

- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review and finalize land acquisition agreements and contracts.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements pertaining to land acquisition.

- Monitor and manage the progress of land acquisition activities, resolving any issues or challenges that may arise.

- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and records related to land acquisition.

- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on the status of land acquisition activities.

- Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of land acquisition processes to identify areas for improvement.

- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in land acquisition to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A minimum of 4 years of experience in land acquisition, preferably in the solar energy sector.

- Proficiency in liaising with government departments and local authorities.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively engage with landowners.

- Knowledge of land assessment and survey methods.

- Familiarity with land records management and relevant legal frameworks.

- Attention to detail and thoroughness in carrying out land acquisition tasks.

- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to land acquisition.

- Experience in document management and record-keeping.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., land management, urban planning, law) preferred.
