Landscape Architect (3-10 yrs)
- Your role as a landscape architect will be to provide innovative and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Ensuring that changes to the natural environment are appropriate, sensitive and sustainable.
- Collaborating closely with other professionals, you will work on a range of projects in both urban and rural settings.
Job responsibilities:
- Establish general landscape requirements with clients
- Conduct preliminary studies of the site (including contours, soil, ecology, buildings, roads, heritage).
- Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Accurately prepare and present detailed plans and working drawings of the re-design of the new site, including applications, construction details and specifications for the project using computer-aided design (CAD) packages or similar design software.
- Select appropriate landscaping materials
- Analyse environmental reports on land conditions, such as drainage and energy usage.
- Inspect landscape project progress to ensure that it adheres to plans.
- Carry out site visits.
- Ensure deadlines are met
- Liaise with other professionals on the project.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters in architecture with specialisation in landscape architecture.
- A good working knowledge of Autocad.
- Demonstrable presentation and client relations skills.
- Excellent graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas.
- Excellent collaboration skills, good self-organisation, and strong ability to work in a team environment
