Lead - Design Engineer - Rotating (10-19 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
- Lead the design and analysis of rotating equipment to meet project specifications.
- Utilize engineering tools and software (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks) for 3D modeling, simulations, and performance analysis.
- Ensure designs adhere to industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
Project Management:
- Manage design schedules, budgets, and resources for rotating equipment projects.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to define technical requirements.
- Conduct design reviews and approve final design packages.
Performance Optimization:
- Analyze performance data and implement design improvements for efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot operational issues related to rotating equipment.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members.
- Provide technical expertise and resolve complex engineering challenges.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee testing and validation of prototypes and final products.
- Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
Skills and Competencies :
Technical Expertise : Proficiency in the design and operation of rotating equipment.
Analytical Thinking : Ability to perform stress analysis, vibration analysis, and thermal modeling.
Project Management : Skilled in handling multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Communication : Effective in presenting designs, collaborating with stakeholders, and documenting processes.
Problem-Solving : Experience in diagnosing and solving performance and reliability issues.
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience : 8+ years in designing and engineering rotating equipment, with leadership experience.
Certifications : Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) are a plus.
