Lead - Electrical Systems Engineering (5-9 yrs)
Job Description:
- Lead and drive system engineering of electro-mechanical systems and interfaces in all projects related to electric vehicle system and sub-system.
- Hands on Experience in vehicle electrical and electronic architecture.
- Experience in component selection, vendor selection and handling of electro-mechanical components such as compressor, motor, pump, fan, ECU, relay, solenoid valves, DC-DC converter, Inverter, junction box and sensors.
- Experience in handling wiring harness design and development for varied electro-mechanical components, connector systems, wire sizing based on voltage and current, crimping, sealing, fretting corrosion, ingress protection, safety protocol for high-and low-voltage system in electric vehicles.
- Hands on experience in integration of sub-systems with vehicle, testing and calibration.
- Hands on Experience in with communication protocol (e.g. CAN/PWM/LIN)between ECU and vehicle.
- Hands on experience in electrical system lab set up, testing and verifications.
- Experience in product engineering (e.g. product development process: focus analysis, DFMEA, DFMA, DRBFM, QFD etc.)
- Experience in handling customer and supplier interaction/discussions.
- Collaboratively work with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders (e.g. customer, sales and marketing, design, simulation, reliability, HW, SW, verification and validation, production/manufacturing, vehicle integration and trial, purchase, supplier) in a fast paced R&D and Manufacturing set up.
- Lead and drivesystem engineering with content, data, knowledge, initiatives, collaboration, discussions, reviews and releases.
- Familiar with adjacent/related topics (e.g. mech. design, simulation, reliability, hardware and software, verification and validation, vendor development, manufacturing processes, PPAP, SOP, field monitoring etc.). Can interpret results and prepare engineering documents/reports.
- Familiar with Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) tools and methods
- Proficient in automotive standards (e.g. SAE/ISO/IEC/DIN etc.)
- Hands on experience in Failure and Root Cause Analysis (RCA: 8D, Fish Bone Diagram, 3 x 5 Whys)
- Possess Quantitative and logical decision making ability
- Entrepreneurial, Team Player and Collaborative
- Proactive, take initiatives, possess good communication & interpersonal skills
- Train less experienced associates
