Lead/Manager - Mechanical Designer (9-15 yrs)
POSITION SUMMARY
- This position is responsible to understand, develop, and handle Mechanical Design activities for the Company Machines and Systems, ensure & resolve customer complaints in line with Company standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functional:
- Understand, plan and carry out Mechanical Design and development activities for Machinery & Systems to lead the projects assigned by the superior.
- Design and develop parts & assemblies in line with Company standards and processes.
- Adhere to the Product development plans and schedules as agreed and committed with superior.
- Execute Mechanical design projects well within the set target cost and development budget.
- Understand the problems in Machinery & Systems pertaining to Mechanical design and coordinate with cross-functional teams for proactive solutions.
- Support Engineering Management team to provide timely availability and accuracy of drawings/ schematics details of Machinery and Systems.
- Support engineering management team for BOM, technical modifications, special executions and technical documentation pertaining to projects handled.
- Coordinate and support service department in effectively resolving customer complaints pertaining to Mechanical Design issues.
- Adhere strictly to the QMS standards and ensure that no NCs are pending from internal audits during the year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Years of Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in handling Mechanical Design activities in a Machine tool industry or similar.
Technical/Functional Requirements:
- Experience in Machine Tool Design or Machine Components Design of CNC or SPM Machine building is a must.
- Experience in Solid Edge or Solid Works
- Experience in ERP & Team Center.
