Leader Operations Engineer - Steelcase Production System (6-8 yrs)
Role :
- To drive and direct operation engineering department to support the manufacturing/production function, and implement Steelcase Production System and Lean initiatives and sustaining the quality system
Responsibilities :
- Managing and planning Operation Engineering department to support and achieve company's direction and goals, and pursue manufacturing excellence.
- Maintaining the integrity and motivation of team members
- Developing competency of members through identifying training needs, on job training and coaching. Identifying potential and develop leaders and successors.
- Ensures Steelcase Production System and all Lean initiatives are implemented and sustained, introducing new technology to the plant if necessary to support the new products or improving the processes.
- Provide training and coaching on Lean principles and implementation.
- Provide broad-based comprehensive technical support to all production areas to anticipate and diagnose throughput issues.
- Employ a variety of analytical and scientific tools to address plant and line layouts, process sequencing/linking, scheduling and line balancing following lean manufacturing philosophies.
- Manage the implementation of the significant product, process or other corporate initiative being introduced into this plant.
- Manage & introduce/integrate new processes, equipment, and technologies into the company.
- Encouraging and maintaining a high level of continuous improvement ideas across the manufacturing functions
