Job Summary :

As a Dairy Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire logistics operation of a dairy company, from the receipt of raw milk to the delivery of finished products to customers. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that production and delivery schedules are met, while maintaining the highest level of quality and safety standards. You will also be responsible for managing a team of logistics professionals, including drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff.

Job Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize the flow of products, minimize costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

- Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.

- Manage and coordinate the activities of logistics staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.

- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as delivery times, transportation costs, and inventory levels, and make adjustments as necessary.

- Ensure that all logistics activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety and transportation laws.

- Work closely with other departments, including production, sales, and customer service, to ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled on time and in full.

- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, carriers, and customers to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics operation.

- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency in the logistics operation.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

- At least 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the dairy or food industry.
