Senior MEP QS Engineer

Job Description :

1. Prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP works during the post-tender stages

2. Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality

3. Assists Manager-Contracts in carrying out of day-to-day QS works at site

4. Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for MEP works

5. Review, analyse, and evaluate tender documents and vendor quotations

6. Prepare & maintains asset list and ensures accurate cost allocation activities

7. Monitor and track project costs, ensuring alignment with budgets

8. Monitor the RFI- s, CVI- s, AI's and ADs with input and information from Site Engineers and CM for items which may result into EOT claims or Variation orders. Assists PM/CM to prepare claims for Variations or EOT's. Maintains and furnishes the relevant support documentation and records to validate the same.

9. Identify and report variations and recommend corrective actions to mitigate cost overruns

10. Assist in preparing and negotiating MEP contracts/ subcontracts.

11. Regularly monitors the Actual quantities Vs. BOQ and notifies PM/CM in case any potential overruns are anticipated.

12. Monitor and keep a record of usage and storage of bulk material at site on a weekly basis.

13. Administer contracts, manage claims, and ensure compliance with contractual terms

14. Prepare and review interim valuations and final accounts for MEP works

15. Certify payments for subcontractors and vendors

16. Identify potential risks associated with MEP works and propose mitigation strategies

17. Work closely with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions

18. Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants for smooth project execution

19. Maintain accurate records of MEP costs, variations, and progress

20. Generate detailed reports and provide cost insights to stakeholders.

21. Advanced knowledge of quantity surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, CostX, Primavera)

22. Strong understanding of contractual, commercial, and legal issues in constructions

23. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders

24. Works closely with the Storekeeper to monitor and maintain the records of incoming material stamp and allocate cost code to all the delivery orders. Maintains up to date record of outgoing materials

Qualification: Diploma/B.E/B.Tech Electrical

Experience: 5 to 8 years

CTC: 42 K to 78 K per Month

Location: Mumbai

Notice period: one month or less
