Superior Group is looking for Machine Operator for our client location Jackson MI

- Tests product and maintains test machinery and equipment under direction of test engineering

- Reviews project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment.

- Performs testing in accordance with test specifications, including test setup, test equipment adjustment and sample and data storage.

- Drafts detail drawing or sketch as necessary for fabrication of equipment or setup components.

- Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments.

- Sets up and conducts tests of hydraulic components to evaluate product performance toward support of customer requirements.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Associates Degree :

- Minimum of 2 years experience as Mechanical Technician

- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a technical/laboratory setting without degree

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

- Test equipment operation, machine hydraulics, and data acquisition and inspection equipment.

- A high degree of mechanical aptitude.

- A broad knowledge of test machines and instruments.

- General knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

- Print reading and dimensional inspection capability.

- Effective use of current technology and the learning and application of new technology.

- Basic mathematics, graph reading and calculations are needed.

- Experience with PC-based control systems.

- with measurement / data acquisition systems, instrumentation wiring and documentation.

Additional Information:

- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
