We are on the look-out for - Electrical Superintendent- to join the Electrical Support team located in Mumbai. Marine Electrical Engineers who will be able to provide and arrange Electrical services and support globally either by own expertise or through a number of external service Companies with in deep knowledge of Marine Electrical and Navigation & Communications systems in the fleet. Marine Electrical Engineer who want to participate in the day to day Technical support to the Fleet Groups with a very high diversity on the daily task. Responsibilities
Maersk Tankers vessels don- t have Electrical Engineer onboard vessels.
Hence the support form electrical team is very crucial and becomes very vital for vessel's day to day operations. There needs to be very close coordination between vessels management and the team to get all Electrical issues fixed remotely/through services in best and most cost effective manner.
- Focus area will be the Marine Electrical and Navigation & Communications service and support to Maersk Tankers vessels
- Ensure Equipment Surveys and repairs are planned timely
- Be up to date on existing and new rules and requirements in the field of expertise in close cooperation with Nautical Department
- Responsible for modification and upgrade Projects
- Be alert to new technology and innovations within the field of Electrical and Electronics field
- Involvement in other areas of the Electrical discipline is also a possibility based on your background of education
- Assist in the Technical operation of the vessels concerning timely repair of electrical equipments
- Ensure timely repair and modifications of Electrical, Electronics and Navcom and communication equipment and installations
- Planning and co-ordination and dispatch of traveling engineers to vessels as required
- Ensure at all times that expenditure is kept within the allocated budgets
- Keep track of technical developments within area of responsibility
- Understand the quality process and continuously improve same within area of responsibility.
- Ensure timely reply to queries from vessel's / technical advises to vessel's with regards to electrical and Navcom equipment- s, and follow up till case is fully resolved
- Liaising with different Makers, Vendor, service providers and purchasing for contact management and quality monitoring
- Assist in new vessel and second hand vessel take over/ hand over and prepare it to Maersk Tankers standards
- Prepare vessel for SIRE and PSC inspection without electrical defects

Navigation Systems
Communication Systems
Automation and Instrumentation
Power Generation and Electrical Distribution

Requirements
A technical expert working within the Marine field, minimum 5 Years sailing on tanker vessels (preferred), having Marine service engineer knowledge will be an added advantage.
Most likely, you have a Master or Bachelor level education in Electrical Engineering or related technical or administrative discipline, specialising within Marine electrical and Navigation and Communication systems with a successful track record.
As a technical expert you are used to dealing with complex technical failures that require an analytical approach and a high degree of attention to details.
It is furthermore important that you are able to work independently as well as in a team - and that you can deliver quality work within agreed deadlines. You must be able to handle several issues at the same time in a structured manner.
You must have focus on safety, timely action, and cost- effectiveness. You will be contributing and part of a team who - MUST WIN- on a daily basis so that planned objectives are kept.

Proficiency in English, including technical terms, is a firm requirement.
