Job overview (purpose/ summary)
- Run the business by managing all day-to-day operation activities which are supported in the Cargo Execution processes and lead minimum one of the LOC Execution team in accordance with the E2E business goals.
- Improve the business by actively contributing and executing the FOE initiatives.
- Drive cost leadership in reducing unit cost and working jointly with business partners.
- To lead, drive, build and sustain a highly competitive team.
- Ensure sustainable and error-free performance for all execution activities managed within the team and drive business improvements through simplification of the process landscape.
- Actively participate in the development of global initiates and business contingency plans.
- Develop long-term plans for staff planning, talent development and organization.
- Drive performance management via the Operating System and establish SMART objectives.
- Engage with business partners across the OPS community with common goal of driving business improvements.
- Engage and coordinate system support across functions.
- Drive the cultural amplifiers within the teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for execution of day to day activities and ensuring productivity and performance targets for the team are achieved and sustainable.
- Ensure internal processes are being continuously analysed to identify possibilities for improvement and ensure full optimization of resources and implementation of same.
- Continuously drive to reduce waste in the processes, by analysing (speaking with) data and recommending improvements to relevant parties.
- Maintain a dynamic and scalable organizational model where resources are managed efficiently and effectively both as per business and volume developments.
- Identify and propose changes that will support standardization and improve the business goals.
- Ensure internal controls are adequately and effectively executed to avoid and prevent incidents.
- Ensure compliance to Global Process in executing the task.
- Be a role model, coach and lead the team.
- Ensure the team is well trained including industry knowledge, initial training and process training to execute the error free work.
- Ensure the team has the optimal composition considering the character of tasks and the need for developing future leaders.
- Support and cooperate the implementation of global initiatives including business contingency plans in Liner OPS.
- Ensure high quality leaders at all levels are coached, motivated and developed according to policies and guidelines.
- Lead ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Share best practices with other LOC's and drive standardization.
- Recommend appointments and dismissals of own direct reports to the Site Process Lead.
- Create long-term training plans for new staff and existing staff across processes. Ensure training plans are executed and followed. Ensure training content stays up to date at all times. Continuously stay in contact with business process responsible within GSC site to stay on top of process changes and adjust training requirements.

Skills required
- University graduate or bearing similar professional qualification in the same or related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of solid leadership and team management experience, preferably related to activities with Liner Operations - Cargo management.
- An individual, who's decisive, has a sense of urgency and result orientation - thereby delivering objectives and increasing business performance.
- A leader that inspires, motivates, coaches, communicates & collaborates - thereby driving the necessary changes in process, organisation and customer satisfaction.
- Has an excellent leadership skill to manage multiple stakeholders both internally within the GSC Organisation and other stakeholder within the Organisation.
- Has the ability to attract and retain talent.
- The candidate should be able to actively work with other functions to ensure quality service is delivered.
- Building collaborative relationships across ML functions is key.
- Effective change management skills to drive, support Organisation strategy
- Has strong analytical skills and an experience in driving Six Sigma would be an advantage.
