Maintenance Technician (2-4 yrs)

Superior Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our client in Lake Zurich. Client is a state of the art CNC shop.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform cleanup and minor repair of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures of production machines in a timely manner in a team environment
- Pull chip conveyers and move maintenance materials throughout the sho
- Perform PMs and fill out preventive maintenance check sheets.
- Perform routine checks of all exit lights, fire extinguishers, and replace light bulbs as needed.
- Salt and shovel north lot as required.
- Maintain liquid waste and disposal (coolant, mop water, waste oil)
- Operate evaporator
- Maintain coolant mixing tank/concentration
- Keep inventory of essential spare parts
- Conduct oneself in a courteous and professional manner
- Communicate with production persons, other maintenance personnel, and shift supervisors.
- Must follow all safety procedures
Required Skills / Qualifications:
License: Valid Drivers License
- 2+ years of experience completing PMs and minor repairs on process and material handling equipment
- 2+ years experience/knowledge of motion and industrial controls.
- 2+ years experience/Basic knowledge of PLC and troubleshooting using PLC
- 2+ years exp. in operation of forklifts, skyjacks, hand and power tools, basic machine shop skills.
- 2+ years exp of electrical and mechanical operations
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Working in an ISO certified background is a plus but not required
- Have excellent communication and organization skills
- Be able to work from written or verbal instructions and standard operating procedures
- Posses personal computer skills
- Teamwork - cooperative with all employees
