Manager/ Asst. Manager (Instrumentation - Project & Maintenance)
- Responsible for leading Green Field / Brown field project execution of instrumentation & control systems project (PLC/DCS) for plant automation activities like technical data/ Design/ philosophy discussion, submission, technical discussion, procurement, installation, commissioning and hand over to operation department and taking care of day-to-day trouble shooting and system upgradation for accuracy /cost cutting, safety etc.
Key Responsibilities.:
- Selection, design, procurement, and execution of project activities related to instrumentation function and capability to develop team.
- Play key role in detail engineering work, collaborating with different departments for efficient and on time inputs for all aspects of control and instrumentation (design basis to P&ID developments, field instrumentation, control, and safety systems, etc.)
- Project execution activities to ensure that all Instrumentation and control projects are implemented within budget and schedule.
- Monitors project progress through project coordination meetings and other means, against project schedules and budgets; deploy resources as required to accomplish these goals.
- Responsible for managing an instrumentation contract teams during construction and commissioning of Instrumentation and control activities.
- Participates in HAZOP, risk analysis, ensures works are engineered and constructed in compliance with all HSE requirements. Ensures plant safety, integrity and reliability through development, implementation and improvement of specific field instrumentation.
- Work on basic and detailed engineering for PLC/DCS high-end process automation systems software programming / development for PLC/DCS in Batch Process Automation.
- Reviews and studies the scope of works described by the contract document, project specifications, contract drawings and BOQ. Coordinates with procurement department for order, approval and timely delivery of all instrumentation and control materials.
- Coordinate with vendors to perform FAT.
Qualification And Experience:
1. BE in Instrumentation with 4-8 Years of experience in a Chemical Industry is a Must & Knowledge of operation and maintenance of respective utility / equipment / systems.
2. Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
3. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition).
4. Troubleshooting of Hardware/ Software issues; VFD programming; PLC hardware/ software knowledge.
5. Should have process instrumentation knowledge and different type of Automation system communication protocols.
6. Should be conversant with Validation Documents, Preventive Maintenance.
7. Schedules/ Check sheets, SOP s & Various Audit Procedures.
8. Knowledge of qualification program - FAT / SAT /DQ / IQ / OQ / PQ
9. Knowledge of metrological standards.
10. Regulatory Guidelines and Cleanroom requirements.
11. Standard instruments.
12. Calibration policies.
13. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest instruments.
14. Analytical skills, Pressure tolerance, Resourcefulness, Problem Solving.
15. Learning skills, Coordinating skills, Problem Sensitivity.
