Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech - Civil or Structural

Job Purpose :

- The main purpose of this job is to align the civil and structural detail engineering activities to overall objectives of the Business Unit and Praj Group, including support to marketing and proposals team. Acquire & develop tools needed for an effective, error free engineering service. 

- Also to develop cost estimates during the proposal phase and also to provide technical assistance during execution as required.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Evaluation and finalization of Civil and Structural Consultant and Resource Planning as per Project Requirement

2. Track design and detail engineering activities with reference to the schedule and take necessary actions for timely completion of tasks to ensure compliance of accuracy and timely delivery.

3. Attend Design review meetings and resolve the technical queries if any and check the final updated deliverables. Handling, co-ordination and closing all relevant technical Queries Request (TQR), Design Change Request (DCR) & Field Change Request (FCR)w.r.t.civil & structural engg.

4. Ensure that civil and structural engineering is carried out as per the quality requirements of Praj Quality Management Systems.

5. Plan and implement improvements to the scope, quality and cost-effectiveness of C & S engineering services.

6. Support Proposals for Civil and Structural BOQ/BOM for pre-order Enginering and Post order work to prepare Cost Estimation.

7. Ensure output deliverables in line with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards during proposal preparation and project execution.

8. Management of outsourced detail engineering and design.

Other Responsibilities :

1. Ensure Compliance with safety, statutory and legal requirements in the basic and detail engineering.

2. Promote profitability by Innovation and improvement in engineering activity.

3. Enable / support team for timely deliverables and understanding.

Technical Competencies :

1. Technical knowledge in the field of Civil & Structural engineering & applicable standards. Basic understanding of major inputs required for civil and structural engineering.

2. Should have knowledge about complete project execution cycle & general knowledge about other cross functional teams.

3. Engineering Tools Management.

4. Ability to assess civil & structural requirements based on inputs received.

5. Knowledge about administrative requirements of own Discipline & internal procedures.

6. Understanding of statutory and safety requirements related to civil and structural engineering.

7. Experience in design of water retaining structures and technological & building structures

8.Cost estimation of Civil & structural works

9.Managing interface with other disciplines, viz, mechanical, piping etc.

Knowledge & Skills :

1. Domain Knowledge with respect to Civil and Structural engineering along with Knowledge of engg softwares like STAAD Pro Design Software. Also knowledge of microsoft office.

2. Possess Communication skills to co-ordinate with Client, Structural Consultant, Contractors, Third party approver etc.

3. Possess Innovative thinking, Change Management and Teamwork driving skills

4. Possess Negotiation skills for evaluation of Civil and Structural Consultant and Contractors.
