Designation: Manager - Design (Ceramics)

Qualification:

1. Preferred A degree inIndustrial engineering

4 yrs diploma/degree from Indo Danish/German tool room or equivalent

Age: 35 to 45 years. Exceeding the age bracket may also be considered

Experience:

Experienced: Minimum 8 to 12 yrs in sanitaryware industry

Key Responsibilities: 

- Design Leadership: Lead the modeling team in the creation of new ceramic products, ensuring that all designs align with the company's aesthetic vision and market trends.

- Project Management: Oversee the product development from concept to production, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, marketing, and sales, to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and marketable.

- Trend Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends,, and technological advancements in ceramics,

- Prototype Development: Supervise the creation of prototypes and models, working with the Ceramics Modeler and production teams to refine designs.

- Quality Control: Ensure that all ceramic designs meet the company's quality standards and comply with relevant safety and industry regulations.

- Client Interaction: Engage with clients or stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate feedback.

- Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team, fostering a creative and productive work environment.

- Innovation: Drive innovation in design processes and materials, exploring new techniques and technologies to enhance product offerings.

- Presentation: Present design and prototypes to internal teams, clients, or stakeholders, clearly communicating design rationale and revisions.

- Budget Management: Monitor and manage the design department's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high-quality output.

- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of design processes, revisions, and final specifications for all products.

Skills:

- Strong creative vision with a keen eye for detail of product, tools and process

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Proficiency in 3D CAD software will be added advantage.

- Good understanding of ceramic materials, manufacturing processes, and market trends.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

- Problem-solving skills and adaptability.

- Knowledge of sustainable design practices.

Team: Will have a team of modelers for product development, and process improvements

- Comfortable working hands on shop floor
