Job Description :
1. Lead and coordinate activities of the MEP (Electromechanical & Plumping) Engineering teams
2. Manage a unit of individual teams in Electrical & Mechanical by establishing appropriate work plans and priorities consistent with the overall Engineering goals and targets.
3. Make decisions reflecting MEP developing plans.
4. Work closely with MEP team /consultants to integrate Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing concepts suitable for the projects and reviews the consultant outputs
5. Act as Liaison between Engineering Management and Facility Management Leaders coordinating the efforts and work tasks for all MEP engineering works.
6. Lead and supervise MEP Engineering units and subunits work tasks thats classified into:
Electrical Power & systems (switchgear HV, switchgear LV, Transformers, Generators, Motors, Power Cables, UPS, etc), Air-conditioning (Chillers, AHU, FCU, Air Ducts etc), Utility Lines Networks (Potable Water, Fire Water, Chilled Water, Storm & Drainage, Fuels, etc)
7. Review and approve the MEP engineering design, analysis, technical specifications, Diagrams, design drawings and tender documents.
8. Prepare preliminary design and compile scope statement for MEP systems.
9. Participate in project phasing and planning.
10. Bid Reviews, analysis and evaluations of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to National& International standards, regulations and code of practices.
11. Develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet MEP goals.
12. Work with management to assign, perform, oversee and schedule work tasks and meet cost objectives.
13. Provide technical approvals for the projects Material Submittals, Base Design, Schematic Design, Technical Data Sheets, etc.
14. Follow up of the Project Executes, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Closeout.
15. Ensure optimized engineering solution to meet end user requirements.
16. Report Probable & additional costs which may be incurred to the project director.
17. Monitor Schedule impacts.
18. Involves in the Operation department Processes and Procedures and maintains it.
19. Participates in recruitment and selection of MEP team members.
20. Provide leadership to the MEP team and set performance standards.
21. Set the required standards (as laid out in the Policies and Procedures Manual) and ensuring they are maintained.
