Manager - Engineering - Chemical (15-20 yrs)
Job Summary :
- We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team in detailed design and implementing high-quality, high-volume chemical plant projects for US facilities. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of chemical plant systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, and managing the project from FEL3 to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical plant design and engineering, with a focus on high quality, high volume, 3D model centric projects, along with excellent management and leadership skills and strong English communication skills.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the engineering team in detailed design and implementing high-quality, high-volume chemical plant design projects for US facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Manage the project from FEL3 to completion, ensuring that it is completed on time and within budget.
- Oversee development of detailed estimates and schedules for multi-disciplined projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with other departments outside of engineering, including procurement, construction, and operations, to ensure that project objectives are met.
- Supervise the development and implementation of project design specifications, drawings, and calculations.
- Develop/maintain processes and procedures for effective and efficient engineering deliverables with focus on 3D model usage.
- Ensure that all engineering work complies with the company's quality control standards.
- Hire, train, and mentor the engineering team, ensuring that they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the team as needed.
- Provide technical leadership around continuous productivity improvement with engineering designs.
- Coordinate with US-based teams and clients to ensure project requirements are met, including maintaining effective communication channels to facilitate smooth project execution.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, piping, or chemical engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in chemical plant design and engineering, with a focus on high-quality, high-volume projects for US facilities.
- Direct supervisory experience
- Excellent management and leadership skills.
- Ability to oversee and lead multiple disciplines including piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
- Experience managing projects from FEL3 to completion.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with engineering software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
