One of the Leading FMCG groups is looking for an EHS- Executive and Manager. Mandatorily B.Tech and a Diploma in Industrial Safety from Regional Level Institute or Central Level Institute.

Role reports to : Branch Manager

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required

Job Location: Kidderpore (Neighbourhood of Kolkata) and Bangalore

Required Education/Qualification: Mandatorily B.Tech - and a Diploma in Industrial Safety from Regional Level Institute or Central Level Institute.-

Job Summary:

To advise and ensure adherence to environmental, health & safety standards, as laid down by Corporate and Divisional EHS, in the unit. To remain updated on all latest guidelines / parameters of safe work / environment and share the knowledge as well as train key personnel accordingly.

Principal duties & responsibilities:

- To recommend and advise the Management on the impacts of various environment pollution parameters and suggest ways and means of controlling the same.

- To ensure compliance of safe work practices by liaisoning with employees.

- To ensure that proper records as per the guidelines of Corporate Safety are maintained.

- To plan training of all contractors and employees on safety.

- To ensure that all incidents are captured and analyzed and actions are planned and taken to prevent recurrence.

- To ensure that best Safe Working Practices are identified and implemented.

- To ensure reviews of action plans of EHS audit and regular follow up on internal audits.

- To ensure regular EHS audits are carried out and external audits are co-ordinated and organized.

- To plan and ensure that EHS Committee meetings are held regularly.

- To ensure risk assessment / hazard spotting exercises are carried out on regular basis.

- To ensure that safety features are in-built at the initial stage of new projects and inspect / recommend rectification of any unsafe guarding / inter-locking of new machines before they are commissioned on the floor.

- To prepare award documents & apply for Awards as advised by the Branch Manager.

- Diploma from RLI in the field of Industrial Safety.

- Safe work practices and technology, such as categories of guarding etc. of machines.

- Various acts of Laws, such as, Factories Act, Employee Compensation Act, etc.

- Corporate EHS Guidelines.

- Working knowledge of Computers.
