Manager - Factory Planning - Pharma (5-20 yrs)
- Manage overall Factory Planning team.
- Do the Production Plan by day, by line based on the inputs from Demand Planning team.
- Plan in detail, between all the different work centres (injection moulding, printing, decoration, assembly, lacquering, metallizing, production filling, bulk manufacturing) to ensure that each delivers their part of the overall production process on time, in full.
- Carry out daily meetings with different work centres to ensure that they are fully aware of their production plans and have the material & manpower to deliver on this.
- Adapt to a high level of product changeovers & changes in production.
- Work out the Production Plan for each production and ancillary function and workout the section wise production plan
- Timely release of work orders after checking material availability against work orders.
- Integrate with all production and ancillary department to ensure overall FG production an dispatch plan is achieved as per OTIF requirement
- Work closely with MRP/Purchase team to ensure the bought out items are delivered at factory within given lead time
- Participate in production review meetings and also S&OP meetings with the planning teams.
- Responsible to achieve production service levels in line with company targets
- Ensure WIP generation is minimized and also reconcile WIP generated
- Identify bottlenecks in production chain & work with production teams to eliminate them
- Identify excess inventory of PM/RM and jointly work with demand planning and MRP teams to minimize this
- Work with MRP & MPS team in liquidating nonmoving and slow moving raw & packing material inventories.
- Get long range demand requirements from demand planning teams & evaluate work centre capacities.
- Execution of Non-moving / slow moving inventory liquidation plans
- Work with MRP & MPS team to improve planning accuracy.
- Keep controls on material consumptions v/s standards.
- Focus on continuous process improvement related to overall Factory Planning
- Set Objectives and KPI to all team members in line with company objectives.
- Conduct half yearly and annual appraisals. Appraise talent. Provide performance feedbacks periodically
