Manager - Food Safety - Food Processing Industry (7-12 yrs)
Food Safety Manager
Key Responsibilities :
- Establish and maintain statutory food compliance program for both imported and domestic foods, including technical food product approvals from FSSAI, where required and facilitate exporting suppliers in necessary regulatory food import documentation and processes for smooth imports.
- Risk assessment, standardization of food products, safe food processes in domestic merchandising as well as, import and export operations, whilst ensuring conformance to company standards and regulatory norms.
- Establish and manage supplier food safety and quality program, including food safety capacity building, product development, food safety and quality management system assessments.
- Establish and manage food analysis program, encompassing internal and external stakeholder partners, for ensuring imported / domestic food products compliance to statutory specifications.
- Coordinate on day to day operational issues among various business teams and support business teams in resolving customer concerns, food safety & quality incidents, including root cause analysis and taking apt corrective actions.
- Develop food safety training modules and conduct food safety trainings of associates / food handlers at various levels in organization, in association with training team, besides organizing training workshops for suppliers and other external stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Microbiology or related field
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in food safety and quality operations across food processing industry, food retail, food imports and exports.
- Strong regulatory knowledge of India's food safety laws and regulations
- Exceptional program management, supervisory, communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written skills in English
Preferred Qualifications :
- IRCA UK Registered Food Safety / HACCP Lead Auditor
- Masters in Food Safety / Food Science / Food Technology / Food Microbiology / Public Health) / PG Diploma in Quality / Food Safety Management
- MBA from reputed university / institution
