Job Responsibility :
- Abilities in enhancing processes & reducing costs; accomplished in using optimization models for achieving cost reductions
- Versatile & diverse experience in FMCG and Telecom industries
- Significant exposure in managing & controlling logistics processes & services at vendors end and providing valuable suggestions for efficiency enhancement
- Expertise in handling entire gamut of activities related to SCM such as sourcing, vendor development, quality control, logistics, etc.
- Proficiency in materials & procured management involving planning, scheduling and procurement of components, materials and services from various sources
- Rich knowledge of price comparison of items Local purchased
- Expertise in handling Batching Plant, Precast operation
- Sound knowledge of SAP in Materials Management Module as end-user
- Expertise in liaising with suppliers for efficient negotiations on price, delivery schedule and other terms & Conditions; skills in maintaining record MIS reporting
- Excellence in ensuring optimum inventory levels to achieve maximum cost savings without hampering the operations
- An effective communicator with honed interpersonal, planning, problem solving and analytical skills
- Negotiation with Transporters, Shippers/Consignees etc. to ensure seamless, cost-effective movement of consignment and timely delivery of orders.
- Finalizing freight rates and road transportation contracts for inbound-outbound freight finalization.
- Ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met as per organizational guidelines
- Managing stores operations ensuring optimum inventory levels to achieve maximum cost savings without hampering the operations
- Identifying & developing potential vendors locally for the right- source selection and achieving cost effective negotiation; resolving bottlenecks & reducing lead time. Knowledge of VAT
- Monitoring availability of stock, making appropriate arrangements to ensure on time deliveries
- Managing day-to-day Vendor performance to ensure meeting of service, cost, delivery & quality norms; executing innovative sourcing policies & procedures, streamlining workflow and creating team environment to increase productivity
- Planning, organizing and controlling various requisite activities such as sourcing, negotiation, recommendation, contracting, inspection, expediting & tracking, reporting, logistics & delivery, payment processing, etc
- Leadership & training of Materials Management officers and staff
- Negotiation with Transporters, Shippers/Consignees etc. to ensure seamless, cost-effective movement of consignment and timely delivery of orders.
- Controlling effective material handling through proper stacking & adopting safety measures at storage locations to enable smooth and timely movement of stocks through the network.
