Manager - Maintenance - Facility System (5-10 yrs)
- The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all facility systems, equipment, and machinery. This role ensures that all operations run smoothly by managing maintenance staff, scheduling routine inspections, addressing mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues. The Maintenance Manager also ensures compliance with health and safety standards, manages budgets, and coordinates with external vendors when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including technicians, engineers, and other maintenance staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide ongoing training and development.
- Develop and maintain team schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
2. Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop, implement, and manage a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
- Schedule and perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks for all equipment and facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, machinery).
3. Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Lead the troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues within the facility.
- Oversee emergency repairs and coordinate the availability of parts and tools.
4. Budget and Cost Management:
- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Track and report on maintenance expenditures and recommend improvements for cost- saving opportunities.
5. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure maintenance work complies with safety regulations and organizational standards.
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions for any safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
6. Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance, repairs, or equipment replacement.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance to ensure high-quality service.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
- Prepare regular reports on the status of equipment, maintenance issues, and budget utilization for management.
8. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and implement best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends to enhance the facility maintenance operations.
