JD for the Packaging Manager position:

Job Description :

- Lead the packaging design process from ideation to production

- Collect and present new packaging concepts

- Develop innovative packaging ideas for improved user experience

- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and external vendors to streamline processes

- Supervise end-to-end prototypes to ensure optimal output

- Approve supply quality for commercial use

- Create and maintain packaging design standards, guidelines, and templates

- Conduct research on industry trends and competitor packaging

- Manage the packaging material supply schedule and ensure timely delivery of projects

- Present design concepts and strategies to internal stakeholders

- Participate in product development meetings to ensure packaging design meets functional requirements

- Negotiate with suppliers for the best commercial rates

- Procurement expertise from China

- Negotiate with suppliers for the best commercial rates

- Should understand different packaging materials in beauty and personal care, varying from tubes to jars, glass to plastic

- Should have experience with mould making

- Strong network of suppliers with good networking skills

Qualifications:

- A degree in the packaging-related discipline

- 4+years of packaging design and prototyping experience with different materials and construction techniques

- Strong understanding of packaging materials, aesthetics, and manufacturing processes, as well as sustainability and regulatory requirements

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Strong project management and communication skills

- Passion for experimenting and developing new packaging concepts and innovations

- Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively with others.
