Position: Manager - Process Design (M&E)

Job Location: Vadodara

Key Responsibilities :

Lead, manage and motivate an energetic young team of Designers and Product Developers :

1. Effective task planning & resource utilization

2. Develop objectives and goal setting for teams, follow up and assess them

3. Performance management & Developmental Plans of all reporting engineers

4. Personal development for improved effectiveness at work

Task Execution :

1. Review design concepts and approve them including acceptance for all stakeholder requirements for Cost of design, Cost of Product, Quality and delivery time.

2. Create and realize innovative designs with focus on prefabs, prefab moulds, handling & transportation equipment, other CAPEX goods, EMT etc.

3. Discuss customer requirements with project management and engineering team and resolve conflicts

4. Plan resources, coordinate, supervise and constantly follow up design/development projects according to set deadlines, target cost & conformance to quality & reliability

5. Create and supervise product designs, engineering drawings, 3D renderings and detailed diagrams of products & accessories

6. Consider and push team to keep always attention to factors influencing product design such as costs, selection of materials, production methods, new technology, safety, fashion trends, ergonomics, environment, marketing and business strategy

7. Modify and oversee designs and material or production method where necessary to meet customer's manufacturing or cost requirements

8. Prepare and oversee presentation sketches showing style, size, shape, configuration of internal components and general appearance of products either by hand or by computer

9. Supervise construction of prototypes of products and test them for function, quality and produce-ability within customer's production cycle time and target cost

10. Budget and calculate design and development costs and report to the management board for deviation approvals; whenever necessary

11. Research or develop with the team new materials and production equipment's if necessary

12. Implement and continuously improve Best Practice Design Handbook. Manage contract changes and provide input to the Project Manager on cost and time impacts

13. Needed travelling - for prototyping, testing, validation & to customer locations
