Manager - Process Safety - Chemical Industry (5-10 yrs)
Job Description :
Role purpose
- Overall purpose of the job. This is a summary list of six to eight statements for key result areas where the role holder will have decision-making responsibilities.
- To ensure compliance to Statutory and Site Process Safety standards.
- To achieve safe process and non-process operations thereby resulting in zero Process safety incidents (injuries & illness) illness.
- To ensure that all production processes are designed and operated in conformance to Site and Statutory guidelines.
- To ensure that capabilities of the site with respect to usage Process safety assessment techniques such as PRA etc. are adequate.
- To ensure that Process safety incidents are investigated adequately as per Site procedure.
- To ensure that process safety risk is controlled in ALARP region with design/operation/maintenance features for new products/projects introduced at site.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Accountabilities:
- Establishing HSEQ management system related to process safety for achieving Site HSE objectives.
- Design, implement and improve Process Safety management system that will enable the Site to be in compliance with regulatory requirements and be aligned with role purpose of zero process safety incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Process Safety assessment as may be required are conducted for all new products/processes OR modifications on site.
- Ensure that all activities related to Process Safety on site comply with regulatory Standards.
- Monitor that all measures listed in PRAs and other Process Safety assessment etc are implemented at site and report any deviations
- Ensure that all new developments in regulatory requirement are reviewed for site operations and implemented.
- Mentor PRA Assessors as PRA Lead while grooming the PRA Trainees to Practitioner status.
- Coach and manage performance of PRAs on site.
- Ensure required workplace exposure monitoring is carried out as necessary.
- Be involved in HSE related audits such as IMS audit as per Site IMS Audit Plan
