Manager - Procurement - Process Transformation (15-25 yrs)
Position - Procurement Manager - Process Transformation
This is into the procurement team and we are looking for someone who has got proven experience into process improvement for procurement activities. This role is more strategic than operations and someone who is currently working in strategic sourcing or process improvement (Procurement) domain would be a good fit.)
I. POSITION SUMMARY :
Todriveend-to-endprocess improvements as part of global transformation, mainly in procurement activities supporting the Capital Procurement (engineering, fabricated equipment- s, and materials) area and that of sub-contracts. The manager will lead our internal efforts to manage the Global functional owner (GFO) initiatives/actions via a team of Process leaders who will drive enhancement and digitize end to end supply chain of our project procurement downstream activities.
Areas of responsibility:
- Manage the overall GFO action list while managing set timelines and stakeholders - namely GFOs of each discipline
- Analyze and review process improvements from an end-to-end supply chain standpoint - starting from procurements engagement with Project proposal team, to interface with Engineering teams, to delivery interface with site commissioning
- Engage with global GFOs of other functions to ensure their regional improvement requirements are met, while building a pipeline for global remodeling of relevant improvements
- Review and ensure progress on global procurement audit needs and their resolution via managed action plans (MAP) run by process leads
- Ensure all audit backlog and pending document revisions are handled on priority by relevant process lead
- Manage and coach the Process lead team members to look for cross functional improvements to build a robust procurement and supply chain process map via regular 1:1- s
- With every process improvement initiative, ensure work instructions and work procedures are up to date and rolled out as per a plan on a global level
- Build templates for global teams for each of the procurement disciplines to establish global standard ways of working for e.g., for project execution plans or Project procurement plans working with the GFOs and their regional counterparts
- Ensure engagement via structural engagement meetings with GFO's and their regional counter parts to drive monthly review of the initiatives and their development
- Highlight any hurdles, roadblocks to direct manager in a timely manner
- Monitor, develop and communicate a monthly report of GFO activities and their progress to be shared with the executive board
- Work closely with supported businesses and functional organizations to ensure stability and cost effectiveness of supply
- Simplify processes and remove waste from the processes to maximize value proposition across the supply chain
- Take regular guidance from the GFOs to build project/ action pipeline
V . MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience :
- More than 20 years of procurement/strategic Equipment sourcing experience, preferably minimum 6-8 years in process improvement in an EPC, Oil & gas, or Shipping environment
- Preferable with working experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Industrial Gases or Petrochemicals / Chemicals or Oil & Gas Industries.
- Worked with a multinational company in a matrix set up will be an advantage.
- Detailed knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices, including aspects of process flow regarding, requisition, purchase order issuance, procure to pay and invoice management
- Proven track record in setting up global standardized processes via systems/ digitization
-Preferably lean Six-sigma certified
- Familiar with operating within SAP environment and SMAT
- In addition to above, please make a note of below pointers
- SAP Signavio (Business transformation) - Experience on this applications will be a big plus.
Project Transformation - Project transformation experience is a must.
- Standardising the processes - experience on standardising the purchase orders, procurement activities is a must.
Engineering Background - It is a must because the person will be handling a team of engineers and it is very imperative for this person to be technical sound along with the Process transformation exposure.
- EPC experience is 1st preference, however someone working in consulting organization supporting procurement transformation within EPC, Engineering, Manufacturing company can also be considered.
