Manager - Product Development - Personal Care
- Anchoring the assessment of technology feasibility studies for creation of new platforms to address identified consumer needs
- Identification of various technology options through extensive literature search and scanning of available technologies in other industries
- Creating proof of principle for suitable technology options
- Lead the process for approval and deployment of the suggested solution(s)
- Build a robust and implementable project brief along with the Marketing team along with the product claims by doing the necessary IPR and patent search
- Analyzing consumer data during the product development phase, interacting with marketing and consumer research / insights group
- Develop prototype and evaluate the same through stability studies in conjunction with Analytical and Packaging, sensory studies and consumer studies with Consumer Technical Insight
- Partner MARVEL FPR to manage and implement cost management initiatives
- Leading standards for setting base RM quality and qualifying the RM through scale up trials while ensuring : a) Productivity standards are achieved b) Product design is thorough and validated vs. lab / initial prototypes.
- Liaising with Packaging development to recommend the most suitable packaging material for the launch and also supporting packaging development activities on the brand.
- Working closely with the Functional Head, CQA and Plants to ensure that the product quality compliance is met throughout the year.
- Understanding H&W drivers for the target consumers and developing prototype to fuel the growth for the brands.
- Collaborate and develop projects with other national/international labs: generate program scope and run programs successfully.
Skills and Competencies :
- Experience in established R&D set up within FMCG Companies with successful product launches
- Categories handled in the past to include deodrants
- Understanding insights and supporting for appropriate innovations / patents.
- Good communication skills, team working, influencing skills, creativity and drive for Innovations
