Qualification: BE- Mechanical / Production
Work Experience :M14: 13-15 year relevant experience
Job Purpose:
- Organization Perspective : Ensure that the Plant delivers on orders ONTIME while maintaining Requisite Process controls, Quality and Optimal Machine Efficiencies adopting WCM methodology
- Customer perspective: Ensures that through our service On time & Quality we meet and exceed Customer expectations
Position Summary:
- Resource Management (Human & Material)
- Quality Control
- Control & Monitoring of Production process meeting Quality Specifications and EHS requirements
- Deploy and Implement EHS systems & WCM Pillars requirements
Key Responsibilities / Accountability :
- Resource Management (Human & Material)
- Plan & schedule daily production as per the plan for the month.
- Plan manpower required
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources such as Man, Machine & Material.
Production & Manufacturing System :
- Ensure that production targets are met with Ontime
- Ensure adherence to production norms assigned to each work station and further working on Productivity Improvement Projects
- Ensure that Daily work management, Performance control system on line & machines are part of day to day operations
- Ensure Compliance to Manufacturing processes, Controls and systems of work flow
- Ensure the effective Implementation of Production Linked Incentive scheme.
- Identify training gaps of employees based on the roles and responsibilities defined for the work position.
Quality Control & Production :
- Take proactive measure to reduce rejections.
- Take corrective and preventive actions based on rejections and customer complaints.
- Ensure adherence to quality parameters during the manufacturing process.
- Ensure that all deviations, Gaps, Abnormalities with respect to Manufacturing systems, practices, Quality defects are addressed /close looped through effective Poka yokes, OPL and W.I
- Each month, communicate production issues faced, targets met & target of current month to employees.
WCM / EHS / IMS Activities :
- Initiate & sustain the 5S & Continual Improvement Pillar activities.
- Ensure deployment of WCM pillars as per the Site defined Road map
- Co-ordinate the activities related to suggestion schemes and Kaizen implementation.
- Initiate multiskilling of available workforce.
- Ensure safety norms on the shop floor as per guidelines
- Monitor TFX score and ensure CAPA are taken for all EHS incidents.
- Ensure all production activities inside the plant are in line with Saint Gobain EHS guidelines.
- Document and implement SOPs, Poka yoke, OPL for all operations / Activities
- Ensure maintenance of all records as per IMS.
Functional Skills
- Exposure to WCM & EHS Systems
- Exposure to budgeting, capacity planning, resource optimization, and vendor development
- Exposure to WCM pillar deployment leading to Cost reduction, Productivity Improvement and standards development
- Exposure to Dies and toolings would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of safety compliance, legal and statutory requirements
- Exposure to Work measurement /Time study, Negotiations with Unions..
