Manager - Project Engineering (18-26 yrs)
The Role
As a Manager / Senior Project Engineer, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Oversee and manage engineering projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions throughout the project lifecycle, from design and engineering to construction and commissioning.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Facilitate clear communication and resolve any issues or conflicts.
- Ensure that all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans.
- Monitor project performance to ensure quality standards are met. Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and documentation.
- Develop and manage project budgets. Track expenditures and implement cost-control measures to prevent budget overruns.
- Prepare and present project status reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and performance metrics, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and project team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).
- A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 18+ years of experience in engineering project management within the oil and gas/refineries/petrochemical/chemical industry. Proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong technical and engineering knowledge relevant to oil and gas/refineries/petrochemical/chemical projects.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
