Manager - Purchase - eCommerce (3-10 yrs)
Job Description :
- Create, fulfill and submit orders and re-orders
- Managing inventory levels to ensure proper amounts are on hand, ensuring limited overstocks across all facilities
- Checking out of stocks, manufacturer supply issues
- Responsible for analyzing data from relevant sources for evaluation and analysis
- Recommend cost savings initiatives, alternate sourcing, etc.
- Be purchasing department resource for new and existing projects tied to procurement
- Manage and drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives and process change initiatives, to enable Purchasing to attain our Business Plan
- Manage a team of 10 to 20 with responsibility of a department, within a very fast-paced/ time-critical and demanding environment
- Set/clarify requirements and expectations for Purchasing Assistant Managers and Team Leaders
- Measure performance through metrics, providing feedback, and holding front line associates accountable for their performance and the performance of the task they are assigned to handle
- As needed partner with Astt. Managers & TL's to establish corrective plans to insure that department meets objectives
- Leverage ideas of other Business Unit Managers and Team Leaders to source and nurture creative improvement plans for Purchasing eco system
- Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all work types and shifts
- Be responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department
- Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Admin, HNIT and Automation Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures
BASIC CANDIDATE REQUIREMENT :
- Experience as a purchaser and knowledge in supply chain management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Robust Excel knowledge and ability to create documents independently
- Familiarity with various office-based computer programs such as Microsoft office, specifically document creation and use of spreadsheets
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constant changes
- Proficient at report generation from various information systems
- The ability to be an independent thinker and be able to pick up new things quickly
