Job Description:

- He will be responsible for receiving inspection, in-house quality management.

- Defining the quality performance indicators and monitoring and control of their levels at defined intervals for management reporting

- Calibration process of measuring tools and equipments

- Ensuring all inspection and Tests viz; spectro analysis, UTM, impact testing of all incoming, various in-process stage and finished product as defined in the quality plan. Keeping record of all inspections and test.

- Facilitate quality improvement workgroup, act as a primary interface between internal and external customer on all quality related issues. Documentation as per customers request, oversee all QA/QC related activities through of work to inspection teams,

- Checking abnormality from inspection report, mitigation and rectification.

- Meet customer requirements on quality systems, organise PPAP audits, monitor and maintain customer quality ratings, innovate relevant warranty control measures, prepare reports on failure analysis/supplier corrective actions and drive resolution to customer satisfaction.

- Ensuring that recurrence of nonconformity reported in-house and at customer end is prevented through an efficient control system.

- Handling Customer complaints and preparation of CAPA

- Establishing & Maintaining quality records of subcontractors/vendors and clients.

- Managing quality audit and finding are suitably tracked through acceptable & timely close out.

- Overall control and management of new product development/+project documents.

- Handling of deviation in the entire quality chain

Qualification, Experience & desired attributes :

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

- 7 to 15 years experience in QA/QC in an Engineering company,

- Should possess analytical skills, communication, inter-personal relationship skills and be a team player

- Should have been in the Quality Assurance / Control function & have good knowledge of applicable codes, standards and specifications related to structural steel products and manufacturing of structural steel

- Knowledge of quality measuring systems of Incoming, Process and Outgoing quality related to steel industry

- Exposure to Problem solving process which includes Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Check

- Conversant with Quality management systems viz; ISO 9001, having experience in preparation and implementation of Quality Plans, FMEA/SQC tools including Environment, Health and Safety related management systems, conducting Management Review Meetings (MRM)

- Exposure of conducting QMS audits, Customer audits and closure of NC/ improvement points, Knowledge of product & process audit process
