Manager - R&D - Rubber Chemical (15-20 yrs)
- To start from Scratch for set up on R&D Lab.
- Selection of Equipments and Instruments for R&D Centre.
- Administration incharge of the Research & Development Lab.
- Spearheading Technology transfer/scale up of water, solvent & Oil based mold release agents / lubricants (liquid chemicals), facilitating processes from lab scale to production scale mfg.
- Formulation strategies & policies of R&D. Setting up Technical lab.
- Development of new products, modify existing products.
- Development of Product Performance test methods, Product Recommendation.
- Manpower handling of R&D Centre
- Local/alternate sourcing of raw materials/Packing materials.
- Working on : Wax Emulsions, Oil Emulsions, Silicone Emulsions, organic solvents, waxes, silicones, oils, additives, surfactants, thickeners, biocides, fungicides, corrosion inhibitors, gloss/surface finish improvement, lubricity improvement, fillers, reactive/non-reactive chemistry, particle size control, catalyst, emulsifiers, dispersants, antifoaming agents, Mold Release Agents / Lubricants, Aerosols, Metal working fluids etc.
- Process working : Water based, Solvent-based & Oil based product
- New Product Development for Polymer Plant and modification in existing products as per customer feedback.
- Implementing manufacturing process of new products with Production and Quality team.
- Establishing processes & SOPs, streamlining workflow & creating environment to enhance productivity while working with Quality & Production team. Process improvements, Product costing & quality management to ensure profitability,Controlling Capital Budget. Product & process audits, Continual improvement plans, Kaizen, implement Best Practice, Cost Reduction/margin improvement Projects, 5S activities & Cost of Poor Quality concept.
- Handling customer complaints. Handling Deviations/Change Control. Methods & procedures for inspection & testing. Note quality deviations in RM/In-Process goods/FGs. Suggest CAPA. Route Cause Analysis.
- Compliance with appropriate regulations.
- Technical support to sales team & customer. Understand & meet Customer expectation.
- Invention of new value added products for the Company to generate good revenue.
