Job Description :

Accountabilities Responsible for:

- Allocating proper grades of raw materials for synthesis of ceramic and refractory products

- Heading projects related to value addition of bauxite for specialty applications such as ceramic proppants, welding fluxes and anti - skid road surface pavements Pivotal in selecting raw materials for optimization of process parameters for mullite for refractory applications

- Developing project plan and carrying out raw material quality check (chemical composition, particle size, etc.) Heading unit operations encompassing crushing, grinding for particle size reduction Optimizing sintering temperature for different ceramic compositions Drafting SOPs for ceramic processing

- Carrying out high temperature calcination for manufacturing refractories Performing microstructural evaluation of ceramics Assessing the effect of chemical composition, particle size and mineralogy on the final properties Studying the effect of processing temperature on final properties

- Carrying out improvisations in product quality and identifying pipeline of new products and projects

- Accurately maintaining data / records Developing and maintaining MIS reports for proper documentation Plotting data and carrying out regression analysis

- Carrying out Marketing Operations related functions encompassing: Providing technical support to marketing staff to cater effectively to various customers Implementing counter measures to reduce customer complaints routed through marketing

- Handling receipt of customer enquiries of process capability / feasibility of producing the same at lab level and plant level Visiting customer from ceramic and refractory industries wherever required to understand their end applications Meeting with concerned operations personnel allied departments at plant to plan for trial production of mullite for refractory applications

- Managing clearance of material post quality checks Gathering feedback of trial lot by visiting customer and fine tuning the process accordingly

- Conducting control trials and preparing SOPs in accordance with production Monitoring the performance till the establishment of the product for bulk production Providing technical support to customers and conducting joint testing at customer's end during product quality issues.
