For one of our client, we are looking for R & D Manager for Global Manufacturing Firm for their Navsari Plant.

Position : R & D Manager

Experience : 9 - 13 yrs

Location : Navsari (35 km from Surat)

Job Description :

- Lead the R&D team of diamond tools for construction and stone industries.

- Lead major technical initiatives in collaboration with Marketing, Operations, Purchasing, Outsourcing and Technical Services

- Manage R&D laboratory consisting of microscopic examination, destructive and nondestructive testing of diamond tools.

- Work closely with parent/partner companies and key vendors to advance development of products/processes

- Identify and take initiative to lead continuous improvement efforts and add new product lines to existing platforms

- Manage technical/business support to existing products including RM qualification, competitive analysis, and product/system testing at internal labs and external labs

- Exercise judgment in selecting materials, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

- Publish technical reports and give technical presentations at regular intervals on key projects

- Fully develop and manage project schedules from ideation through scale up to commercial launch, including key tactical items for other functional areas

- Explore and establish advanced technologies to improve performance, reduce total system costs, and establish sustained competitive advantages

Desired Skills and Experience :

- Bachelors / Masters degree or above in Materials Science Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering related field with minimum 5 years related experience preferably in diamond tools.

- Demonstrated proficiency in product designs and formulation development

- Proven capability to initiate, plan, and lead cross-functional team research/product development initiatives

- Proven track record of development and team leading.

- Experienced in developing new products from the lab, through scale-up, field testing, and to commercialization

- Strong skills in root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and decision making

- Experienced with design of experiments and statistical analysis of data

- Able to work effectively with internal and external partners at technical and interpersonal level, effective leadership and teamwork skills

- Excellent self-initiation, planning, organizational, documentation and communication skills.
