Manager - Research & Development - Paint Manufacturing Unit (10-15 yrs)
Candidate Profile :
10 years of paint industry (Decorative & Industrial) experience towards Research & Development. Must have knowledge on formulations technical skills and Project Management.
Formal Management Development will be advantageous
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Run an efficient and effective Technical Support Service to the business.
- Lead the business in innovation and development through a competent R&D function.
- Ensure knowledge creation and capturing by executing correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across projects.
- Adept to handle Multitude of Raw materials, products, and formulations that are highly complex in nature.
- Able to guide the team through the development, testing and implementation stages and review the completed work effectively
- Able to make decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for target completion.
- Must provide technical training to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to team members
- External face of the Organization in liaison with Bureau of Standards, Government Chemist's Office, ISO certifications, and Audits.

Technical Expertise :
- Proficient in handling the complex of Paint formulation/ technical development concepts, latest Raw materials, and process technologies and designing techniques.
- Understands the different process and product requirements and ability to solve problems in testing and applications.
- Experience in troubleshooting, product development processes and ability to understand and translate market requirements into product formulation and specification.
Management Skills :
- Ability to communicate effectively with teams, external agencies, and clients.
- Understand product/project requirements, coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction in a timely manner.
- Ability to manage change and effectively pass on the process/formulation to concerned teams for execution
- Delegate and allocate responsibilities efficiently to manage projects end to end.
- Manage and direct R&D team project timelines for efficient results
Leadership :
- Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality, and excellence
- Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and identify and execute development initiatives
- Resource management skills and ability to handle complex / sensitive issues
